Since beginning my journey as a birth worker, I have supported over 5,000 families; from pregnancy to birth to lactation, and worked in every hospital + independent birth center in the Twin Cities area.

I am encouraging, pragmatic, always up-to-date and at-the-ready to guide you through the preparation of a positive birth, postpartum and lactation experience for you and your growing family. I can typically find an easy way to relate everything back to birth + lactation, and will be a sincere + honest source about the ups and downs of parenthood.
I have been working with families since a young age in my mother's in-home daycare. I was always eager to come home straight away to hold + care for the infants and babies in my mother's care. Fast forward to adulthood, after receiving a BA at the U of MN, my professional career began in event planning as I managed a cooking school + taught cooking classes across the country. From there, my career as a birth worker started in 2012. I first pursued my ICEA childbirth educator certification, and my passion for supporting families grew. This lead me to my following certifications to offer a full spectrum of care to each of my clients: ICEA Certified Birth Doula, Academy of Lactation Policy & Practice (ALPP) Certified Lactation Counselor, Modern Doula Education Certified Postpartum Doula and Postpartum Doula Trainer, Prenatal/Postnatal Nutritional Expert and Cranialsacral Therapist. In my work, I will fall back onto my full belief that YOU ARE THE BEST PARENT FOR YOUR BABY. I will fully support your wishes, along with facilitating conversations to provide evidence-based information to build your confidence as a parent. We were never created to do this alone. My intention is to truly work alongside you, to nurture + guide you through the many options into parenthood.

As for my personal life, I reside in the west metro with my husband, Russell, our five boys, Owen, Wesley, Walter, Otis & Oscar (truly accidental that we ended up with 'O's + 'W's), and a black lab, Sansa (daaaa da da-da, daaaa da da-da, daaaa da da-da....). Cooking grounds me, I'm a full-blown popcorn addict, enjoy a good statement earring, I love the Lord with all my heart and my Mexicaniness makes me too loud for the traditional Minnesotan. But then I say MinnesOOOta like a native, and then there is balance in the universe once again.
